This movie is written and directed by Annabelle Attanasio. This movie tells the story of young teenager Mickey Peck (Camila Morrone) becomes the visible head of her family and struggles to keep his house afloat. However, one day she receives an offer to leave town, leaving behind everything she has fought for years, and the reason why she has not been able to live a normal life. Mickey will be forced to decide between moving forward with her family obligations or seeking personal fulfillment outside the town that has seen her grow.

Story of the movie: The story of a girl named Mickey Peck, who has to take care of her veteran father and help him fight addiction. So far, she has succeeded, but one day she has the opportunity to quit and leave. Mickey has a choice: to remain true to family obligations or to choose self-realization.
Mickey is still very young (great Camila Morrone). However, there is no reason to enjoy it. She lives in a small town in Montana, where "everyone is dying of cancer." After the death of her mother, she deals with an unstable father (James Badge Dale), a drug addict veteran who cannot cope with his own memories or the loss of his wife. Mickey is a full-time babysitter for him.
Mickey, leads a seemingly ordinary life of a small-town teenager, who with excitement in her voice and hope in her eyes awaits her first times. He works part-time with a taxidermist, earning her dream studies, trying not to neglect school, partying at night with friends by the fire. The problem is that Mickey's future seems to be written by strong, though little interested in her need’s men. A boy who loves her, but in a few years will probably turn into a passive aggressor. Father, suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder veteran of Iraq and emotional vampire, who in the eyes of his daughter gradually loses in the world of drugs. Torn between her own dreams and the roles attributed to her by society and blood ties, between the growing dysfunction and the hope for a more normal future, the girl matures to make a binding decision. Will she, however, be able to break free from the small-town nightmare?
